Oddfellows Win B title in Lake of the Woods Peewee Tournament

Our Peewee Oddfellows took the B side championship this past weekend in Kenora. Finishing the round robin in 7th place the Oddfellows met the Kenora Red Lions in the B side semi finals. The Oddfellows won that game 2 - O.
Next the Oddfellows faced Kenora's McDonalds team. They had beaten McDonald's earlier in the tournament 5 - 2 but knew this was going to be a different game in the finals. Kenora came out hard and battled to an early 2-0 lead. The Oddfellows then began their comeback and made the score 2-1 on a goal by Darien Desrosier. Kenora then scored to jump to a 3 - 1 lead. The Oddfellows never gave up and showed a lot of heart battling back to tie the game 3 - 3 on goals by Sarah Milling and Tanner Gill-Roisin. The Oddfellows then jumped a head by two goals both scored by their captain Dylan Swire. Kenora played hard and closed the gap to 5-4, but that was as close as they would come as the Oddfellows goalie Joshua Quesnel managed to hold off a last 2 minute barrage by the home team. Congratulations to all the FFMHA Peewee Oddfellows players on a good tournament.
Our Peewee Firemen were also in Kenora and made it to the A side semi finals, losing a heart breaker in a shootout to the Emo Thunderbolts.
